Jacinto Torres


Jacinto “El Monito” Torres, 58, of Danville passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born Aug. 17, 1950 ,in Los Llanitos, San Luis Potofi, Mexico, the son of Jesus and Maria Anastacia Padron Torres. He married Maria I. Perez on Feb. 20, 1974, in Zaragoza, Mexico. She survives.

Other survivors include his father, Jesus, three sons, Jose de Jesus Torres, Alfredo (Rachel) Torres, and Jose Rigoberto Torres, four daughters, Juana (Jorge) Rubio, Maria Guadalupe (Luis) Rubio, Veronica (Armando) Segura and Maricella (Isaac) Torres-Juarez; six brothers, Irineo (Ana) Torres, Moises Torres, Magdaleno Torres, Esteban (Lorenza) Torres, Catalino Torres, Heriberto (Irma) Torres; four sisters, Maria Ascuncion (Jose) Acuna, Constancia (Ricardo) Perez, Margarita (Refugio) Guerrero, Maria Bernadino Torres; grandchildren, Estrella Geades, Jorge Rubio, Alexis Rubio, Blanca Rubio, Catalyna Rubio, Gracson Torres, Diego Torres, Esperanza Torres, Luis Rubio, Fernando Rubio, Mersedes Segura, Armando Segura Jr., Edgar Segura, Adamari Segura, Mariana Perez, Joel Perez, Analiese Perez, Jovanna Torres, Serena Torres, and Sebastian Torres. He was preceded in death by his mother; infant son, Jacinto Torres, Jr.; and one sister, Maria Leuteria Torres.

Jacinto worked for Wandell Nursery in Urbana. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. His wife, children, and grandchildren will deeply miss him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Pracz as celebrant. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
