DANVILLE — Emma J. Jones, 85, of Danville, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Hawthorne Inn in Danville.

She was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Westville, a daughter of George John and Ruth Erwin Stark Youhas.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Tom) McBride of Foristell, Mo., and Lori (Michael) Yerem of Danville; six grandchildren, Jason (Andrea) McBride, Angela (David) Ray, Matthew (Emily) McBride, Jordan Yerem, Kyle Yerem and Kelsey Yerem; and three great-grandchildren, Kain and Cole McBride and Jaylah Ray; and one great-grandchild due in June.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Jack Youhas.

Emma was a nurse’s aide at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital and later at United Samaritans Medical Center Logan Campus.

She attended Second Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends at Valleyview and also enjoyed bowling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved animals.

At Emma’s request, services and burial will be private at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Provena Cancer Center or the charity of the donor’s choice. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.
