TANGIER, Ind. — Michael J. Mershon, 54, of rural Tangier, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at his residence.

Michael was born Dec. 5, 1957, in Clinton, the son of Joseph and Margie (Hayworth) Mershon.

Michael was employed with Pilot Travel Centers as a truck driver. Mr. Mershon enjoyed farming, motorsports and tinkering in his garage.

He is survived by his parents of Tangier; wife Elizabeth A. “Sam” (Vincent) Mershon; children, Shane Divine of Tangier and Christa (Jerry) Stultz of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Curtis, Ella and Josie Stultz.

Also surviving are brothers Mark (Karla) Mershon of Sylvania, Larry Mershon (Michelle Petrof) of Tangier, and sister Leigh Anne (Steve) Ball of Rockville.

A celebration of life will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Spirit of Life Ministries, 505 W. Main St., Kingman, with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
