PARIS —
Jeffery Allen Pinegar, 52, of Paris, Ill., and formerly of Danville, passed away at 6 a.m. EDT Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.
He was born Feb. 23, 1960, in Danville, the son of John and Norma (Meeker) Pinegar.
He married Barbara Jean Martin on April 2, 2011, at First Christian Church in Paris. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Norma Pinegar of Danville; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Meeker of Danville; a son, Matt Pinegar of Fairmount; a daughter, Katie Murdock of Fairmount; a brother, Dale (Kim) Pinegar of Oakwood; a sister, Debbie (Joe) Frank of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Audrey Murdock and Love Story Wright; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Pinegar was a 1978 graduate of Danville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Paris, where he was a member of the church choir. He also was a member of the Paris Lions Club.
He was a talented painter and sculptor, a loyal Chicago Cubs, Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears fan, and an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorials be made to Paris Lions Club or to First Christian Church of Paris.
Services celebrating his life will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris, with the Rev. Michael C. Dixon officiating. Burial will be private in Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday until services at Templeton Funeral Home.
