Lloyd L. Robbins

COVINGTON, Ind. — Lloyd L. Robbins, 84, of Covington, Ind., passed away at 2:19 a.m. EST Saturday, March 2, 2013, at his residence in Covington, Ind.

Lloyd was born on Aug. 24, 1928, in Veedersburg, Ind., the son of Gilbert L. and Audrey Louise (Mears) Robbins. He married Shirley Wilson on June 18, 1955.

Surviving family include his wife, Shirley Robbins of Covington, Ind.; two sons, Leslie E. (Lisa) Robbins of Covington, Ind., and Lloyd R. (Dina) Robbins of Veedersburg, Ind.; three daughters, Cindy (Jim) Bushue of Covington, Ind., Sheri (Mike) Hinchman of Danville and Jewel (Ron) Lockhart of Attica, Ind.; and several grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Gilbert Robbins and John Robbins.

Lloyd had served his country in the U.S. Army. He had lived and worked in California, and retired from the Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg, Ind.

Per Lloyd’s request, private family services will be at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, Ind., with Pastor Tom Hunter officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #288.
