Katasha Brynn 'Tasha Brynn' Ellis

GEORGETOWN — In loving memory of Katasha Brynn “Tasha Brynn” Ellis, who was a strong, courageous and amazing young lady who fought a lengthy illness and passed away at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 17, 1982, in Danville, to Tony and Lori (Cox) Ellis, who will both miss her dearly.

Katasha was previously employed at First National Bank of Catlin and worked as a beautician and babysat for kids. She had also worked for Georgetown Foods as well as Big R in Tilton.

She enjoyed playing softball, volleyball and cheerleading. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida and being on the beaches, which she loved. Tasha enjoyed being outside, going fishing and mushroom hunting.

She was a big fan of Illini football and basketball and the Chicago Bears and Cubs. She was an avid fan of Aerosmith and loved going to their concerts. Most of all, she loved spending time with her parents, family and friends as well as her cat, Grayson.

Katasha will be missed by her several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents and maternal step grandfather.

A celebration of Tasha Brynn’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at First Church of Christ, 503 N. Main St., Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West St., Georgetown. She will be laid to rest in Whitlock Cemetery, east of Georgetown.

Memorial donations may be given in Katasha’s name to any of the following: Georgetown Fair Association, Carle Hospice or to her family to help with expenses.
