Charles 'Charlie' Trimmel

TILTON — Charles “Charlie” Trimmel, 79, of Tilton, passed away at 10:47 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 2, 1932, in Gyor, Hungary, to Jeno and Anna Csollany Trimmel. He had two sons with Juliana Donjan and later married Carol Tooker.

Surviving are a son, Charles Trimmel Jr., of Danville; brother, Jeno Trimmel, of Sweden; sister, Ilona Stuhlman, of Plainfield; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bela Trimmel; and a sister, Ava Cinder.

Charlie had served in the Hungarian military before coming to the United States in 1956. He worked at General Motors until his retirement after 25 years and loved to go fishing and hunting.

A service to celebrate the life of Charlie Trimmel will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Pastor Kevin Ziegler will officiate. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, also at Sunset in Danville.
