DANVILLE — Randy Lee Blue, 57, of Danville, died at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Randy was born Aug. 25, 1954, in Danville to Lyle Gene and Rita Ann Meers Blue.

He attended Tilton Grade School, South View Junior High and graduated from Danville High School in 1972.

He had formerly worked at Arby’s and Continental Can. He had last worked for 33 years with the U.S. Post Office in Jensen Beach, Fla., Attica, Ind., and in the Danville bulk mail department.

He had been a coach for the Central Foundry Little League from 1985-1995.

He loved his pets and his tomato garden. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and classic TV shows.

He loved his family and especially his children and grandchildren.

Randy married Patricia Lynn Pierce on Dec. 31, 1991, by Judge Rita Garman in Danville, and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jason Charles Blue and Kyle Lee Blue; two grandchildren, Styles Gianni Blue and Valynn Jae Blue; a brother, Ricky (Tina) Blue; a nephew, Corey Blue; and many special friends, including Vince and Mary O’Brien.

He was preceded by his father, Lyle Blue.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Per his wishes, Randy was cremated at Pape Funeral Home in Danville.
