TILTON — Walter “Walt” McNeese Sr., 65, of Tilton, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Walt was born March 27, 1947, in Danville, to Zernie and Annabell Thomas McNeese.

Surviving are his companion of 18 years, Brenda Daughterty of Tilton; one son, Walter Albert McNeese Jr. of Danville; three brothers, Kenneth (Phyllis) McNeese of Tilton, Vernie “Nelson” (Pammy) McNeese of Danville, and John (Theresa) McNeese of Kingman, Ariz.; and one sister, Jenny (Jim) Westhouse of Dorris, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Campbell.

Walt worked for Pepsi for many years and then worked at KIK Custom Products in Danville for 27 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers.

He donated weekly to the Helping Hands. He enjoyed shopping trips to Champaign, especially Farm and Fleet. He liked watching WWE wrestling and collecting owls. He was a very likeable guy who would do anything for anybody. He was a kind soul who loved spending time with his son.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Robison Chapel, Catlin, with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Burial will be in Jones Grove Cemetery, Catlin. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Robison Chapel, Catlin.

Memorials may be made to C.A.R.A. animal shelter in Tilton or the American Heart Association. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
