RIDGE FARM — Jo Ann Lomax, 58, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

Jo was born March 31, 1954, in Danville, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Redman) Edwards.

She married Richard Lomax on Dec. 24, 1994, in Danville. He survives.

She also is survived by four sons, Ben (Julie) Flanagan of Independence, Ky., Kevin (Laura) Flanagan of Pleasanton, Calif., and Trent Lomax and Eli Lomax, both of Ridge Farm; a stepdaughter, April Lomax of Danville; four grandchildren, Nathan, Will, David and Lydia Flanagan; brother, Jeff (Laura) Edwards of Tilton; brother-in-law, Danny Neubig of Westville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jill Neubig.

Jo graduated from Danville High School in 1972. She was a former member of Grape Creek Baptist Church, where she helped in building the church. Jo enjoyed decorating and loved the Lord.

Spending time with her children and family was the most important thing to her. She cherished every moment with them.

A celebration of Jo’s life will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville, with Pastor Ben Wetherington officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. at the church. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded per her wishes.

Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be made in Jo’s name to Ridgeview Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.wolfeblurtonfuneralhome.com.
