Donald Eugene Davis

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — Donald Eugene Davis, 71, of Veedersburg, Ind., died at 12:54 a.m. EST Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Jan. 21, 1941, at Yeddo, Ind., the son of Herman Orval and Myrtle Jane (Evans) Davis.

Donald attended Rabb School. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, riding his moped and flea markets.

Donald was employed 35 years at Fountain Foundry, retiring in 2006.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (Terry) Hardin of Hillsboro, Ind., and Donna (Darrell) Houldridge and Saliea Davis, both of Danville; three brothers, Ronnie Davis and Larry (Sandy) Davis, both of Veedersburg, and Bill (Connie) Davis of Covington, Ind.; a sister, Patricia Wigley of Veedersburg; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. His parents, a brother and two grandchildren preceded him in death.

Visitation will be noon EST until services at 2 p.m. EST Monday, Jan. 14, at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Pastor Robert Fairchild will officiate. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery.
