Mary Katherine Kelley

DANVILLE — Mary Katherine Kelley, 84, of Cottondale, Fla., formerly of Danville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kelley was born in Ridge Farm on May 12, 1928, to the late James and Rosetta Gossett Williams.

She lived in Danville most of her life before moving to Florida.

Beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Kelley was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Holmes County, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, R.L. Kelley; and a son, Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Kelley.

She is survived by two sons, Russell Kelley of Cottondale and Randall Kelley and wife, Linda, of Alford, Fla.; brother, Richard Williams and wife, Cathy, of Danville; four grandchildren, Ramsey, Megan, Elisha and Ryan; and one great-grandson, Parker.

Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Barley officiating. Burial will follow in Whitewater Baptist Church Cemetery, with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

In lieu of flowers, family requests those wishing to make memorials to Covenant Hospice 4215 Kelson Avenue, Suite E, Marianna, FL 32446 or the American Cancer Society.
