WESTVILLE — Nancy Stanis-Allen, 47, of Westville, passed away at 1:46 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.

She was born March 20, 1965, in Danville, the daughter of John and Nancy Stanis.

She was wed to James Allen until his passing in 1996.

Nancy worked as a nurse within the area nursing homes until her retirement in 2005. She was a caring and giving person who never met a stranger.

She loved dancing to music, motorcycles and football. She was a big fan of the Westville Tigers and Chicago Bears. She was known as a practical joker. She loved spending time with her family most of all.

She will be dearly missed by her mother, Nancy Stanis of Westville; and her son, Mathew “Matt” (Taylor Johnson) Allen of Westville.

She was preceded in death by her father; her son, David Aaron Stanis; and her brother, David Stanis.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to her service. As per her wishes, she will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to her family to help with medical expenses.
