Lisa M. Lawyer, 34, of Danville was called Home to be with her Savior on Nov. 3, 2009, at Provena USMC.
Lisa was born March 20, 1975, in Danville, daughter of Ronald and Donna Taylor Edington. She married Tim Lawyer on April 29, 1994, in Danville.
He survives along with two children, Sherrie Jo and Kody Alan; mother and stepfather, Donna (Leroy) Reese; grandmother, Lena Mildred Taylor; siblings, Alan L. (Lisa) Edington of Tennessee; Stephanie L. (Heath) Huddleston, Shawn D. (Sarah) Reese, and Shanon M. (Craig) McMasters, all of Danville; brothers-in-law, Jeff Lawyer and Tony (Shelly) Lawyer of Danville; sister-in-law, Tori (Gary) Harris of Danville; mother and father-in-law, Gloria and Tom Lawyer of Danville; many aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and grandfather, Rev. Virgil LeRoy Taylor Jr.
Lisa was a 1993 graduate of First Baptist Christian School, where she played volleyball and basketball. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville. She enjoyed reading, baking and was known for her lasagna, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Danville. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville. The family will also receive friends one hour prior at the church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Walnut Corner Cemetery in Bismarck.
