Nancy Ann Dimmitt

Nancy Ann Dimmitt, 48, of Danville, passed away at 4:21 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Provena USMC in Danville.

She was born May 25, 1961, in Danville, the daughter of William Horace and Addie Barbara (Trinkle) Dimmitt. Nancy is survived by her mother, Barbara; one brother, Bill (Mae) Dimmitt; special friends, Sam and Janice Edwards; and her pet cat, Trouble Cat. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill; one brother, Chet Dimmitt; and her very good friend, Earl Creason.

Nancy worked for 25 years at the Nugget in Danville and also as a rural carrier for the Danville Post Office. She loved animals and enjoyed collecting frogs. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of the life of Nancy Dimmitt will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to her family to be giving to an organization to be determined later.
