Liza Mae Stone, 86 of Danville passed this life at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at North Logan Medical Center.
Liza was born March 6, 1923, in Tallulah, La., to Thomas and Sally Dudley Knight.
Liza was a member and mother at Mason Temple Church of God in Christ. Liza enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and also shopping.
Liza leaves to cherish her life and memory: a son, Elmon “Foots” Taylor of Danville; two daughters, Joyce McFarland and Doris (Manuel) Potts, both of Danville; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special uncle, Elmon Dudley of Danville; and a host of cousins and friends. Liza was preceded in death by her parents and her great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will commence noon Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and last until the time of service. Officiating: Elder Lee A. Reed Sr. Interment will be at Sanhill Memorial Park.
