GEORGETOWN — Grace K. Peelman, 86, of Georgetown, passed peacefully at her home with her husband by her side at 8:32 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013.

She was born on April 5, 1926 in Lilbourn, Mo., to William and May McCoy Adams.

She married Alvin Peelman on Aug. 20, 1945, outside of Oxnard, Calif. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Susan Allison, Cathy (Wayne) Warfel and Liz Mann; five grandchildren, Todd Allison, Ted Allison, Kelly (John) Arthur, Nichole (Richard) Brehm and Caleb Mann; two step-grandchildren, Susan (Jack) Skinner and Sheri (Jason) Hoppas; seven great-grandchildren; a stepbrother, Les Stevens, and stepsister, Mary Howard; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Dora.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alfred Adams.

Grace was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She also had been a lifetime member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown, where she also had taught Sunday school. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate the life of Grace Peelman will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Pastor Steve Rutter will officiate. Entombment will follow the services at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to the services.
