WESTVILLE —
Thomas “Tommy” Lee Lourdeau, 59, of Westville, passed away at 4:13 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.
Thomas was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Danville, the son of Louis Joe and Mary Louise (Pepping) Lourdeau.
He is survived by two brothers, Larry (Roxanne) Lourdeau of Westville and David (Brenda) Lourdeau of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Amy (Owen) Barney of Westville; and eight nieces and nephews, Larry (Lisa) Barney of Westville, Richie Woods of Crawfordsville, Ind., Nikki (Shane) Boyer of Catlin, Becky and Brandi Lourdeau of Tilton, Kyle and Troy (Jennifer) Lourdeau of Spokane, Wash., and Chelsea Lourdeau of Westville; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Shannon and Brandi Woods, Jerrid Barney, Paige McNeal and Wyatt Boyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nieces, Amber Lourdeau and Tammy “Barney” Woods; and a nephew, Tyler Barney.
Tommy attended Georgetown High School. He worked at Work Source in Danville for more than 30 years. When he was younger, he worked at Latoz Hardware in Westville.
Tommy was known for riding his three-wheeled bike around Westville, picking up cans. He enjoyed picking up cans, working on lawn mowers, playing cards, drinking a cold RC and tearing things apart and fixing them.
A celebration of the life of Thomas “Tommy” Lee Lourdeau will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
