DANVILLE — Johnny Lee Brigman, 59, of Danville, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville.

He was born Aug. 16, 1953, in Bernie, Mo., a son of Raymond Watson and Armenda Elizabeth West Brigman.

He married Diane Madox. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend of 20 years, Patti Coppell; two sisters, Mary Wanda (Delbert) Lindsay and Linda Gayle Hinkle, both of Georgetown; a brother, Carl (Elaine) Brigman of Catlin; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Wade Lappin, Brandi Kesinger, Keaton Kesinger and Kreed Kesinger. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Underwood, and a brother, Jimmie Ray Brigman.

Johnny was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked at VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville in Food Service. He enjoyed NASCAR, nature and campfires.

Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at VA Illiana Health Care System Protestant Chapel with Jay Richie officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with military rites by Georgetown American Legion. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at VA Illiana Health Care System Protestant Chapel.

Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.
