DANVILLE — Jim Lee Gouty, 80, of Danville, died at 10:28 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with Pastor David Rumley officiating. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Monday at Pape’s. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.

Jim was born June 24, 1932, in Olney.

He attended Diamond, Tilton, Cannon grade schools and Danville High School.

He had worked for the Wabash Railroad as the Main Street Crossing Tower Operator. He had worked for a Danville contractor building houses, St. Elizabeth Hospital as a painter and Lake View Memorial Hospital as an electrician. He retired Dec. 31, 2001, after 32 years.

He enjoyed hunting, hanging out with his children and his dogs, Max, Pepper and Junior “Otis.”

Jim married Patsy Joan White on April 21, 1950, in Danville, and she preceded him Feb. 5, 2002. He later married Jackqueline Delores Black on Aug. 25, 1995, at Danville Central Christian Church, and she preceded him May 11, 2011.

Survivors include the following children: Brenda (widowed — Alan) Houldridge, Joseph L. Gouty, David A. Gouty, Pamela R. Jones, Patricia (Gil) Howard, Mark (Mary) Gouty and Crystal (Rusty) Dicken; stepdaughter, Catherine Adams; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Hazel Sheetz.

He was preceded by his parents; his two wives, Patsy and Jackie; and twin grandsons, Kurt and Kyle Gouty.
