DANVILLE — Mildred Kopp, 89, of Danville, passed away at 8 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at her residence in Danville.

She was born Sept. 12, 1923, to Joseph and Blanche (Beckett) Brown in Indiana.

She married Paul Kopp in 1988, and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Jim) Edington, of Bismarck; son-in-law, Steve Faulkner; grandchildren, Kimberly Edington, David (Ann) Edington, J.R. Faulkner; and great-grandson, Lincoln James Edington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter JoAnn Faulkner; sister, Betty Brown; and brother, Joseph Brown.

A graduate of Rossville High, Mildred supported the war effort during World War II by working at a factory. She later completed beauty school and kept the women of Danville beautiful as a hair stylist.

An accomplished seamstress, Mildred enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tatting and was an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Always up for an adventure, she liked to travel, enjoyed playing cards at family reunions and took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.

As per her wishes, Mildred is to be cremated. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, with Father Nelson officiating, and a private family burial at a later date in Rossville Cemetery in Rossville. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 9-10 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
