WATSEKA — Ronnie G. Deck, 73, of Watseka, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at his home.

Ronnie was born June 26, 1939, in Danville, the son of Charles and Katherine Brown Deck. They preceded him in death.

He married Julia Elsie Hague on Feb. 27, 1960, in Danville. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2007.

He is survived by two daughters, Darla (Mark) Savoie of Ashkum and Deanne (Greg) Carpenter of Bourbonnais; a special friend, Darlene Mueller of Watseka; four grandchildren, Dane and Drew Savoie of Ashkum, and Chandler and Christian Carpenter of Bourbonnais; and one great-grandchild, Jayvin Savoie of Manteno.

Mr. Deck was a truck driver for many local companies and enjoyed gardening, cars and his dogs.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, until services at 6 p.m. at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Rev. Charles Witte will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Vermilion Cemetery, in Vermilion, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or Grace Christian Academy.
