Minister Creola Brooks Patton Johnson

ENID, Miss. — Minister Creola Brooks Patton Johnson was born Jan. 26, 1930, in Enid, Miss. Minister Johnson was the daughter of Althia Patton and Claybon Patton.

Minister Johnson went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012.

She has six children Ophelia, Luke (deceased), Raymon, Erving Lee, Willie (Billy) and Robert. She was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Minister Johnson is survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Rayfield Johnson.

Minister Johnson loved ministering the word of the Lord at her church, The International House of Prayer, and other churches in Illinois as well as in other states.

Minister Johnson was dedicated to her loving family and was a continual excellent role model for her family and friends.

A celebration of life will commence at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at noon until the time of the service. Viewing will be 1-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville, Pastor Mellissa Forman officiating. Interment: Spring Hill Cemetery.
