Linda S. Reffett passed away from this earth to be with our Lord on Feb. 5, 2010. Her family was at her side in her home in Alvin.

She was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Danville, the daughter of Robert and Marcella Sanders Gardiner. She married Michael Reffett on Dec. 19, 1964.

Linda is survived by her husband, Michael; three children, Teri (Allen) Irwin, Michael Reffett Jr. and Karel Reffett. She has four wonderful grandchildren, Stacey, Kyle, McKensie and Austin, and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. Survivors also include a brother, Bill (Patti) Gardiner, and mother-in-law, Julia Reffett, whom she loved very much. She has four brothers- and sisters-in-law, Karen Cordell, George (Patty) Reffett, Dan (Barbie) Reffett and Patti (Michael) Todd. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her father-in-law.

Linda graduated from Danville High School in 1962. She spent all her life providing a wonderful life for her husband and children. Linda loved her grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She also worked 10 years at Creative Products Co. in Rossville until her retirement. Linda enjoyed drinking coffee at her home with special friends, Tanya Morphy, Rita Drennan, Robert Pratt Jr., Tara Smock and Dawn Winegardner, and enjoyed all of their children and grandchildren. She was an avid Cubs baseball fan and watched all their games. Her greatest love was to watch her grandchildren play softball and baseball. She enjoyed fishing and especially with Barbie Reffett. She loved spending time working on pictures and exchanging e-mails. She especially loved mowing the lawn on her riding lawn mower. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her; she touched many lives.
