Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Booe) Spear

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Booe) Spear, 69, Veedersburg, passed away at 9:42 p.m. EST Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Seton Specialty Hospital, Lafayette, Ind. She had been in failing health.

Sandy was born in Veedersburg, Ind., on May 18, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Krout) Booe.

She was a life resident of Veedersburg and had attended Veedersburg High School. Sandy worked in nursing with the Veterans Affairs hospital, Danville, for 12 years and later as a private health care nurse for several years until her health diminished.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved caring for her health care patients.

On June 18, 1960, Sandy married William “Bill” V. Spear in Newtown, Ind. Sandy leaves behind her husband, Bill, of 52 years; along with a son, Mike (Jackie) Spear of Covington; a daughter, Belinda Spear of Veedersburg; two brothers, Tom (Judy) Booe and Rick (Cathy) Booe, both of Veedersburg; a sister, Norma Jean (Chuck) Freeman of Veedersburg; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Spear.

Friends may call from noon until the service time at 2 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 17, at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, Ind. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, Ind.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
