DANVILLE — Carol A. Day, 74, of Danville, passed away at 12:36 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Carol was born May 11, 1938, in Hedrick, Ind., to Ottis Earl and Florence E. Olde Pittman.

Carol married Melvin Day in 2011 in Hoopeston.

He survives, as well as one son, Rockey (Prudence) Beeson of Danville; one daughter, Louisa Ann Westfall of Danville; five grandchildren, Stephanie (James) Dukes, Daniel (Melinda) Beeson, Billy Ray Biczkowski, Travis Hohn and Kenny Hohn; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Kenneth Beeson and William Westfall; two brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter.

Carol had worked at Gary’s Annex in Danville, Skelly’s Truck Stop and District 118 Food Services Department. She enjoyed shopping, watching baseball, classic country music, fishing and watching wrestling.

Graveside rites: 1 p.m. Friday at Atherton Cemetery in Danville, Pastor Dave Rumley to officiate. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
