COVINGTON, Ind. — Edward Joseph Wiesemann, 69, of Covington, Ind., died unexpectedly at 8 a.m. EST Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at home.

He was born March 28, 1943, in Danville, the son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Sedlak) Wiesemann.

Ed graduated from Westville High School in 1961 and the University of Illinois. He was employed at Ryder Trucking for 14 years and recently at Mervis. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association and the book discussion group at Covington Public Library.

Ed’s hobbies were music, especially collecting vinyl records and stereo equipment, sports, reading, woodworking, walking and exercising.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Jennifer) Wiesemann of Brookville, Ind., and Andrew (Jamie) Wiesemann of Fort Campbell, Ky.; a sister, Lorna (Ken) Konsis of Westville; a brother, Lloyd Wiesemann of Bloomington, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Shelby Funeral Home, with Rosary at 3:45 p.m. EST. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. EST Thursday, Feb. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father David Rasner officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Westville.
