Mary Annabelle Cosat

WESTVILLE — Mary Annabelle Cosat, 86, of Westville, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Colonial Manor, Danville.

Mary was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Danville, to Clifford E. and Anna West Kinney. She married Fred E. Cosat on Jan. 9, 1948, in Danville. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2001.

Surviving are: two sons, Michael (Chris) Cosat of Georgetown and Clifford (Sandy) Cosat of Tilton; three daughters, Cheryl Cosat of Mattoon, Jean (James) Burton of Westville and Karen (Bob Snyder) Harper of Danville; one brother, Richard (Sheryl) Kinney of Tilton; four sisters, Alberta (Gene) McCord of Tilton, Freda Kinney of Danville, Sue Johnson of Tilton and Betty (Norman) Curry of Oakwood; 14 grandchildren, Mike Cosat Jr. of Kokomo, Ind., Brian (Bobbi) Cosat of Georgetown, Eric (Jessi) Cosat of Kokomo, Ind., Christopher Cosat of Champaign, Chad (Elizabeth) Cosat of Danville, Amy (Chad) Adams of Brownsburg, Ind., Samantha (Bill) Losher of Bloomington, Nichole (Jim) Waterman of Georgetown, Robby (Kathy) Harper of Westville, and Leaha Cosat, Lynnette Blow, Jason (Edie) Cosat, Kim (Mike) Price, and Steve Cosat of Florida; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia; one son, Fred E. Cosat Jr.; one brother; two sisters; and one grandson, Scott A. Burton.

Mary had been a cashier at Grab-It-Here, was a core packer at GE for 38 years and had worked at Valmont for seven years. She was a member of DanGE Club in Danville. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved bowling, flowers and watching her grandkids’ sports.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Robison Chapel, Catlin, with Pastor Bob Cornell officiating. Burial: OakRidge Cemetery, Catlin. Visitation: 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Robison Chapel. Memorials can be made to the Colonial Manor Activity Fund. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
