ATTICA, Ind. — Doris Jean Bohannan, 57, of Henning, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Pape Memorial Home, Danville. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Pape Memorial Home. Burial will be at Allhands Cemetery at a later date.

Doris was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Lebanon, Mo., to Edward Eugene and Dorothy Louise (Ferry) Manes.

She attended Plato Grade School and Plato High School. Doris was a former member of the Women of Today. She also enjoyed playing computer games such as Farmville and Song Pop. Above all, she enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother.

Doris married Willis “Bill” Bohannan Jr. on July 1, 1978, in Henning. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Patricia (Kris) Eisenberg of Champaign; one son, Nova (Abbie Howie) Bohannan of Henning; two sisters, Freda Stewart of Rantoul, and Eddra (Jim) Monroe of Dow; two brothers, Carl (Sharon) Manes and Walter (Michelle) Manes, both of Green Bay, Wis.; four grandchildren, Cheyenne and Shawnee Eisenberg and Chelsey and Kali Bohannan; one stepfather, Richard Kempisty, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sally Ferry; and two brothers, Michael Manes and Walter Benjamin Manes.
