HOOPESTON — Kenneth Willie Dazey, 85, of Hoopeston, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Heritage Health in Hoopeston.

He was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Hoopeston, a son of Walter E. and M. Opal Lidster Dazey. He married Carolyn Sue Martin on Dec. 2, 1964 at the Antioch Church of Christ. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Ann (Paul) Schorr of Middleville, Mich., and Theresa Dazey of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Katie Schorr and Morgan Williams.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Kenneth was a woodworker for Brown’s Woodworking in Hoopeston and also worked for American Can. He was a member of the Ambia, Ind., Gun Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Alkire Funeral Home, with Pastor Sid Payne and Pastor Earl Eells officiating. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
