COVINGTON, Ind. — Nancy K. Ellison, 66, of Covington, passed away at 1:50 a.m. EST Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at the Waters of Covington. She was born July 16, 1946, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of James E. and Helen Dettman McCoy. She married Donald Ellison on Nov. 25, 1965, in Danville. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Deanna (Robert) Wise of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; one sister, Sally (John) Nixon of Danville; two granddaughters, Katie and Courtney Wise, and one grandson, Brice Peyton. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Danville High School. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She enjoyed her horses, collecting dolls, playing the piano and organ, sewing, and crafts.

A celebration of the life of Nancy Ellison will be held at 1 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec, 4, 2012, at Sunset’s Covington Chapel, 420 Third St. Officiating: the Rev. Michael Heidle. Burial: Lutheran Cemetery in Danville. Visitation of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
