Robert “Bobby” Dale Parks

TILTON — Robert “Bobby” Dale Parks, 71, of Tilton, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 7, 2012.

He was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Danville, the son of Dale and Beryl (Harvey) Parks.

He is survived by a sister, Rhea Swearingen; three nephews, Mark (Ramona) Swearingen, Robin (Julie) Swearingen and Terry (Autumn) Swearingen; and several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two aunts, one cousin, a great-great-nephew and a great-great-niece.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville. Robert worked from 1972-2006 for WorkSource Enterprises, formerly Rehab Products and Services. He enjoyed camping, traveling, watching Westerns and spending time with his family.

A celebration of Robert’s life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at First Baptist Church in Danville, with the Rev. Paul Rebert officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at the church. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials can be made in Robert’s name to the First Baptist Church of Danville.
