DANVILLE — William Paul Makowski, 51, of Danville, died at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

William was born Jan. 5, 1961, in Kenniwick, Wash.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved all animals, especially his cat.

Survivors include his parents, Carol and Verlon Watts of Danville, and Judy and the late William J. Makowski of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Alisa Makowski, and his grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Scott) Goodner of Oakwood, Brian (Shelly) Makowski of Oakwood, Brett Makowski of Mathews, N.C., Scott McKean of Danville and Melanie (Darrell) Carpenter of Oakwood; and many nieces and nephews.

He had many friends, including close friend Mark McBride, and the staff at the VA.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Danville VA Protestant Chapel with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be at the National Cemetery.
