DANVILLE — Mary Elizabeth Morgan, 80, of Danville, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, IL 61832, with Chaplin Phil Jackson officiating. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Pape’s. Burial: Songer Cemetery in Tilton.

Mary was born on Dec. 21, 1932, in Danville, to John A. Logan and Nettie Gentry Marshall. She attended Tilton grade school and then needed to help her mother provide for the family because of the death of her father in 1948. She had worked for Peterson-Puritan. She had attended Liberty Presbyterian Church in Georgetown.

Mary married Raymond Gene Morgan on Nov. 5, 1949, by the Rev. Fred Foster in Danville. He preceded her on Nov. 28, 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Morgan; a son, Larry (Ann) Morgan; and six grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Rossiter, Matthew (Amy) Morgan, Becky (Brian) Russell, Timothy (Nicki) Morgan, Chrissy (Mike) Hoepner and Allen (Amy) Lewis.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her daughter, Susie Lewis Aldrich; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Conner; brother, James Marshall; and three sisters, Hazel Marshall, Jessie Marshall and Irene Friese.
