Steve “Radar” Allison, 62, of Danville, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Provena USMC in Danville.
Steve was born March 6, 1948, in Danville, to Verlon and Virginia Gouty Allison.
He married Clemma M. McQueen, on April 26, 1966, in Danville.
Clemma survives, as well as two daughters, Kimberly (Larry) Bordner of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Tracie (Tim) Davis of Lafayette, Ind.; one brother, David (Julie) Allison of Danville; two grandchildren, Hailey and Selena; one great-grandchild, Amariana; and one niece and one nephew.
Steve had been a lift-truck operator at General Motors’ Tilton plant for 25 years. After retirement, he worked as a farm hand.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, NASCAR and was an active member of the UAW 579, helping with many benefits and activities.
Gathering of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
