FISHER —
While all of the local teams will not be going to the IHSA state girls basketball finals, Armstrong-Potomac’s Morgan Zindars will make the trip to Peoria.
Zindars mad eight shots in the sectional Three-Point Showdown on Thursday to tie up with three other players and advance to next week finals at Normal. The preliminary round will be on Thursday.
Also, former Danville High girls basketball coach Ashley Clanton led her new team, Chicago Mother MacAuley, to a Class 4A regional title win over Crete-Monee 72-50 at Blue Island.
The Mighty Macs will host their own sectional next week.
