LINCOLN —
The No. 5 ranked Danville Area Community College men’s basketball team won their 14th straight game on Wednesday defeating Lincoln 95-81 in Mid-West Athletic Conference action.
The Jaguars were only up 42-39 at halftime before going on a 21-2 run to start the second half and got the lead to as high as 63-41 at one points.
Derek Shouse led the way for DACC with 22 points, while Chris Whitehead had 18, Mike Ryce had 15 points with 10 rebounds, Evan Blackmon had 12 and Ronnie White had 10 points and four blocked shots.
The win makes the Jaguars 25-3 and ties the record for wins in a season, a record they can break on Saturday, when they host Lincoln Land Community College for their final home game.
“We are playing well and starting to click,” DACC coach Mike Carpenter said. “They are staying humble and we are taking things day by day.”
The game with Lincoln Land starts at 4 p.m.

LINCOLN — Hillary Lively had 14 points and nine rebounds as the Lady Jaguars got the win over the Lynx.
Tierra Golightly and Kameren Cole each had 12 points for DACC, who was up 43-22 at halftime and was up by as much as 41-18, while Stephanie Lord had nine points, while Samantha Siddens and Tori Stephenson each had eight.
The Lady Jaguars are 20-8 and 6-2 in the Mid-West Athletic Conference and will play Lincoln Land on Saturday at 2 p.m.
