SCHAUMBURG — Daniel Wells scored a career-high 46 points to lead the First Baptist Knights to a third-place finish in Division II at the Illinois Association of Christian Schools state tournament.
The 46 points for Wells also tied the school record.
First Baptist defeated South Side Baptist of Oak Lawn 75-71 in the third-place game after suffering losses to North Love Christian School of Rockford (64-39) and Calvary Baptist from Chillicothe (73-47) in earlier games.
Wells had a team-high 24 points against North Love and a team-high 19 against Calvary Baptist.
First Baptist concludes its season with a 16-7 record.
