CAYUGA, Ind. —
Bryce Cooper had a game-high 23 points as the Attica boys basketball team defeated North Vermillion 72-58 in a opening game at an Class 1A IHSAA sectional at North Vermillion High School.
Keetin Arnold had 14 points and five rebounds for the Red Ramblers, who jumped out to a 36-23 lead at halftime and did not look back, while Brady Sheridan ha 11 points, Kenny Little had nine and Carson Davis added six.
Brayden Woodard had 22 points for the Falcons, while 15 points, Devon Sams had 10 points and five rebounds and Kody Zumwalt added six points.
Attica will move on to play Covington on Friday for the opportunity to play in Saturday’s sectional final against either Rockville or Turkey Run.
Rockville won the other game on Tuesday with a 61-40 win over Riverton Parke.

DACC up to No. 4
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After winning their 15th game in a row on Saturday, the Jaguars went up a spot in the NJCAA Division II poll from No. 5 to No. 4.
DACC has been in the Top 20 every week with its lowest ranking at No. 13 during the first week of the season.
The Jaguars are 26-3 and won the Mid-West Athletic Conference championship on Saturday with an 82-65 win over Lincoln Land Community College.
DACC will end the regular season on Saturday at John Wood Community College at 4 p.m.
