The Illinois Deer & Turkey Expo has changed locations again this year. The Expo will be held at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.
The hours for the show are 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. on February 1, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Feb. 2, and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Feb. 3. You can download a $2 coupon from the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic website before the show.
The entrance fees to the show are as follows:
Adult 1-Day - $13; $11 w/coupon; Adult 2-Day - $21; Military 1-Day - $12 w/proof of duty, $10 w/proof of duty & Coupon
Hunter Educ Grad - $13 ($10w/ proof of course completion)
There is a $3 discount to hunter education graduates ages 12-18, must show proof of course completion and age. Otherwise pay regular adult one-day ticket price,
First Year Hunter (free w/proof of Hunter Ed course completion). Any first-year hunter who received his/her hunter education certification at any time between Jan. 1, 2012 and the day before Expo starts, will receive free admission to the 2013 Expos when s/he presents proof of course completion at a ticket window.

There are some new things on the show’s agenda this year such as the Locked Antlers Display, with all locked sets from Illinois. There is space for 15 sets of locked antlers, available on a first-come/first-served basis. You can get your hunting equipment and accessories questions answered here one on by experts in several equipment categories.
There will be four contests this year; a trophy deer contest, two photography contests and the state turkey calling championship. You will see a wide range of products and services at more than 250 exhibit booths. There will be 30 presentations on nearly a dozen topics over the three days of the expo. All seminars are free once you have purchased your admission ticket.
Exhibitor-Manufacturers’ new products will be displayed in a well-identified area just inside the main entrance.
