CHAMPAIGN —
The Danville girls basketball team lost their final game of the regular season on Thursday, losing to Champaign Central 47-36.
Alexus Jimson-Miller led the way with 18 points and three steals for the Lady Vikings, who was up 18-16 at halftime but could not hold on to that lead as the Maroons outscored them 31-18 in the second half.
Central had 14 points from Mimi Evans, who was not playing in its first game with Danville.
Alexis Hoskins and Michaela Jones each had five points with Jones getting three assists and Hoskins getting two steals while Lynette Buggs had four points with 10 rebounds.
The Lady Vikings will now travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais High School on Wednesday to start Class 4A regional action against the host school.

DANVILLE — Jonathan Garver had 28 points as the Knights easily beat the junior varsity team of Decatur Christian.
Jermaine Brooks had 10 points for First Baptist, while Michael Young and John Martin each had eight and Casey Hayward added six.
Rossville 60
Attica 52
ATTICA, Ind. — Bryce Cooper had 29 points, but the rest of the Red Ramblers combined for less than that total as they lost to Rossville.
Brady Sheridan had eight points for Attica, who was down 29-18 but fought back with 21 points in the third, while Kenny Little had seven and Keetin Arnold added four.
The Red Ramblers will play Rockville on Feb. 15.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Ivory Crawford’s 3-pointer late in the game rimmed out as the Illini women lost their first Big Ten road game.
Crawford had 25 points and seven rebounds for Illinois, while Karisma Penn had 18 points, five steals and six rebounds and Adrienne GodBold had 14 points and seven rebounds and four assists.
The Illini are 13-9 and 6-4 in the Big Ten and will play Minnesota on Sunday in their annual Play4Kay pink game.
