DANVILLE — A pair of area football players have been named the Illinois High School Football Coaches’ Association all-state teams.
Danville senior Cameron Ford, a 6-foot-1, 250-pound tight end and defensive end, was named to the Class 6A team. Ford has 15 receptions for 230 yards and three touchdowns for the Vikings (12-0) to go along with 99 tackles, five sacks, 11 tackles for a loss and 30 quarterback hurries.
Also earning All-State honors was Bismarck-Henning senior lineman Luke Thornsbrough.
The Blue Devils went 6-5 this season, advancing to the second round of the Class 2A playoffs.
