VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — Fountain Central won its final four matches including a 45-36 win over North Vermillion to claim the Fountain Central Invitational.
The Mustangs finished in a three-way tie for first with the Falcons and the South Vermillion Wildcats, but Fountain Central earned the title on criteria, which was penalty points as the Mustangs had none, while the Falcons and the Wildcats each had one.
Winning individual titles for the Mustangs were Dillon Scott (112 pounds), Eli Moore (135), Quentin Clough (160), Scott Moore (189) and Taylor Minick (215). All five were 5-0 in the tournament.
North Vermillion, who suffered its first loss of the season in the dual with Fountain Central, had two individual champions.
Austin Shell improved to 11-0 with five wins at 140, while heavyweight Caleb Miller also went 5-0, avenging his only loss on the season to Trent Wallace of South Vermillion.
Seeger went 2-3, beating South Newton and West Lafayette, to take fourth place. Jordan Hicks (130) and Bryan Cohen (145) were individual champions for the Patriots.
Bis-Henn goes 4-1 at Covington Invitational
COVINGTON, Ind. — Freshman Morgan Supergan was one of three Bismarck-Henning wrestlers to win an individual title at the Covington Invitational.
Supergan went 5-0 in the 285-pound weight class, while Dakota Patton (189) and Josh Kessler (215) were also undefeated for the Blue Devils.
Bismarck-Henning defeated Rockville, Covington, West Vigo and Turkey Run. The only loss for the Blue Devils came at the hands of Benton Central (46-28).

ST. JOSEPH — Three Tigers scored in double figures as Westville improved to 2-0 with a win over the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans.
Junior Matt Maser led the Tigers with 16 points, with senior Brendon Severado contributed 13 and Zach Davis chipped in with 10.

MILFORD — The Timberwolves held the Bearcats to just 12 points in the final three quarters of their victory.
Terry Short led Milford (1-6) with six points with Beau Fitzgerald and Chris Sorensen each had five.

CAYUGA, Ind. — Jake Weaver scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the second half as the Warriors beat the Falcons in the championship game of the Banks of the Wabash Tournament.
Lane Clark led North Vermillion (2-2) with 14 points while Jacob Rankin had 13.
CATLIN — Megan McCord scored six of her team-high 11 points in the third quarter to help the Storm pull away and beat the Hawks.
Salt Fork (2-6) outscored Heritage 21-8 in the second half after holding a 23-22 halftime lead.
Joining McCord in double digits was Brittny Hoag with 10 points.

FISHER — Kourtney Newell just missed a double-double by one rebound but it wasn’t enough as the Trojans fell to the Bunnies.
Newell scored 10 points and had a team-high nine rebounds, while Kara Carter scored a team-high 15 points for Armstrong-Potomac (2-6).

MILFORD — Ashlen Portwood scored six of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Bearcats rallied to beat the Lady Timberwolves.
Also scoring in double figures for Milford (5-3) were Jessica Cann (11) and Shelby Sumner (10). Cann finished with a double-double as she also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.

WEST LEBANON, Ind. — Kelcey Swisher and Kelsey Griswold combined for 23 points to lead the Patriots past the Mounties.
Swisher, who buried three 3-pointers, finished with a game-high 13, while Griswold had 10 for Seeger.

DANVILLE — Brian Holst was 4-for-4 on Saturday leading the Vikings to an easy victory over the Tigers.
Holst won the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly events, as well as anchoring Danville’s winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams.
Also picking up two individual and two relay titles on Saturday was Storm Strader, who won the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle events. Strader also had legs on Danville’s 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

DANVILLE — Sophomores Derwin Gage and Tim Toler combined for 41 points and five offensive rebounds as the Jaguars defeated the Cyclones.
“This was a big win for our team,’’ DACC coach Mike Carpenter said. “Tim and Derwin really stepped up and had huge offensive rebounds in the final minutes to secure the win.’’
