Ellis commits to Olivet Nazarene
DANVILLE — Tyler Ellis, a senior at Danville High, realized his childhood dreams on Monday when he committed to play college tennis at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais.
Ellis, who will be looking for his fourth consecutive state tournament appearance this spring, said on Facebook that Olivet Nazarene offers him a chance to pursue his dreams and offers him the best opportunity to grow as a person.
“I would like to thank all my teammates, coaches and friends that have encouraged me since I first picked up a racquet almost 12 years ago,’’ Ellis said. “Today’s accomplishments would not be possible without all of your support.’’
