DANVILLE —  

Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, Fla. was the setting of the 7:30 p.m. June 17, 2011 beachside wedding of Lacy Young and Jim Hicks.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara and Stephen Young of Danville. Grandparents of the bride are Jacquelia Galaskis and the late Paul Galaskis, Chuck and Marge Young, all of Danville. She is a graduate of First Baptist High School and Hairmasters School of Cosmetology and is employed at Sole’ Salon.

The groom is the son of Penny (Duane) Snyder of Indianapolis and Larry (Sheila) Hicks of Perrysville, Ind. Grandparents are Hazel Craft of Cayuga, Ind. and the late Elvin Craft and Delores and Carl Hicks of Perrysville. He is a graduate of Danville High School and attended Danville Area Community College and is employed at Sam Leman Chevy City.

Maid of honor was McKenzie Peak. Bridesmaids were Shawna Peak and Christin Randall-Murray.

Best man was Maddox Kirts. Groomsmen were Joe Hicks, Chaz Hinkle, Doug Lucas and Nick Young.

The bride felt very proud and honored to have her brother, Nick Young, walk her down the aisle.

After a honeymoon cruise to Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Bloomington.
