DANVILLE —  

First Presbyterian Church in Danville was the setting of the Oct. 15, 2011 wedding of Kelly Cresse and Aadam Alikhan. The Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Peggy Gibson of Danville and Stewart Cresse of Muskegon, Mich. She has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She is a first grade teacher at Meade Park Elementary in Danville.

The groom is the son of Richard and Kathy Schackmann of Danville and Inayat and Basma Alikhan of Avondale, Ariz. He has a Juris Doctorate and is employed by the Danville Police Department.

Maid of honor was Wynne Rodman of Tacoma, Wash., friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mackenzie Kurth  and Devon Mourer, both of Danville and Maureen Mc Clure of Chicago, all friends of the bride, Soraya Lane of Columbus, Ohio, sister of the groom, Regina Bell of Lake Ozark, Mo. and Emily Gross of Kansas City, Kan., both sisters of the bride. Flower girl was Isabella Lane of Columbus, niece of the groom.

 Reader was Jen Creese of Aurora, sister-in-law of the bride.

Best man was Muffaqam Alikhan of Las Vegas, brother of the groom.  Groomsmen were Ryan Warren of Danville, Jordan Blinn of Chicago, Nick Chorak of Milwaukee and Stephen Tabels of St. Louis, all friends of the groom and Adam Cresse of Aurora, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Andrew Cresse of Aurora, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Kyle Blue and Joe Dicken, both of Danville and Pat Rush of San Francisco, all friends of the groom.

After a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Danville.
