J.R. Merrick and Jennifer Clawson were united in marriage on July 28, 2012. He is the son of Linda and Ed Merrick, and she is the daughter of Beth Ray, and Joel and Patty Estes.

Standing up with the couple were their three handsome sons, Clayton Merrick, 5, Landon Clawson, 4, and Tyler Clawson, 2½.

The ceremony was a small outdoor wedding by their pond with close family and friends. Two red balloons were released in memory of the groom’s grandpa, Clayton McDowell.

The couple will reside in West Salem.
